Easy Star:
When you are racing the penguin, stop midway down the slide and run back up the slide. This will confuse the penguin to the point he has a nervous breakdown. Once Yoshi comes to take him to Bellvue, you can casually finish the race for a much deserved star.

Extra Lives:
If you go to the third tree away from the waterfall (outside the castle to the left) and climb up it, you'll get an extra life. If you go into the castle and return outside again and return to the same tree, climb up it again and reciever another free life. You can repeat this as much as you like and get LOTS of free lives!

Find Yoshi the Easy Way and Recieve 100 Lives:
To find Yoshi without getting all 120 stars, try this:
Go to the right side of the Princess Toadstool's castle. Next to the slope that leads into the moat, there is a V shape. Use your wall-kick move to climb up the curve and find Yoshi! He'll give you 100 lives!

Hidden Coins:
Run around any wooden pole five times and get five coins.

Infinite Lives:
For infinite lives, go to any of Bowser's bosses. Run around Bowser and collect 1000 of the coins he drops. From now on when you die, you will gain a life instead of losing a life. Pretty cool eh?

Warp:
To get to the Wing Cap level, when you have 10 stars go to to the main hallway and look into the light using the C up button and you will warp to the level.

100 Lives and Triple Jump:
When you get 120 stars go outside to the cannon. Fire yourself onto the top of the castle. Talk to Yoshi and he will give you 100 lives and a new triple jump.

Mirrors:
In the level with all of the mirrors, look in the mirror and you will find out that you can jump through the wall.
