Secret Menu:
The instant the SEGA logo appears, hold down the START button on the 2nd joypad, while typing the following sequence on the 1st: <down, B, right, up, C, left, A>
If you type it before the "Warriors of the Eternal Sun" logo appears, you will hear a ding. When you play the game, you will find an extra menu in the START menus. On it, you can play with the game music, and give yourself infinite gold.
The second cheat is much more difficult to get. After getting the above cheat, you must hold down START on the 1st joypad, while hitting <up, A, B, left> on the 2nd joypad. If you get ALL this before the game logo appears, AND you have no saved games on your WOTES cartridge, then it adds several extra options to the above special menu, including infinite experience points and all important game items (I think it also gives some way of displaying your world coordinates, since my notes show coords for many of the dungeon entrances). Of course, by now the only way to find a cart with no saved games is to crack open the plastic case on the cart, then carefully pry off the saved game battery. Saving games in the future may take a trip to Radio Shack for some repair work (see below), but it will wipe all the current saved games. Also, it is very difficult to get both cheats in the time between the two logos (I tried for about an hour recently, and never got it).
