Number of Kills:
If you're looking for a different kind of cheat, then try this one on for size. If you press Button A when you're on the high-score input screen, you'll be shown the number of kills you managed to get in the previous game.

Play Same Character:
On the title screen, hold B and Right on joypad 1 and get someone else to hold A and Left on joypad 2. Keep them held down, and press button C on joypad 2. Keep everything held down, then when the first option screen appears, let go of everything. Now choose a two player game and you should be able to choose the same character.

Level Select:
Plug in 2 joypads and on the Title Screen press Start on pad 1. Now move the cursor down to Options. On pad 2 press and hold A and B, then Start. Hold A and B until the Options menu appears. Now you can choose Very Easy or Mania Game settings. You can also choose up to 9 lives and your starting level.
