If you want extra continues, press Left, Left, B, B, B, C, C, C, and then Start on the Game Over screen.

Level Select:
Connect two pads and go to the title screen. Press Start and then go down to the options. Press Right on pad 2 and keep it held down, then buttons A, B, and C. You should now have all the buttons held down on pad 2. Press Start on pad 1 and you'll go to the options menu. At the bottom of the screen, though, you'll see two extra selections: Players and Round Number.
